Job Description
Your contribution to something big
Are you a highly skilled and self-driven Harness Design Engineer looking for a role where you can take full ownership of the entire design and development process? We are seeking an expert in Siemens NX Electrical Routing to lead the design, development, and implementation of complex electrical harnesses. This is a hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of electrical engineering.
You will have end-to-end ownership of the harness design process, from initial concept to final implementation. This includes creating 3D harness designs and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex electrical schematics and leading the selection and integration of new electrical components.
You will perform critical electrical calculations for cable and fuse dimensioning, ensuring the safety and reliability of our products.
You will be the point person for analyzing and interpreting a wide range of internal and external requirements, translating them into precise material order specifications.
You will be expected to build and validate harness samples from the ground up, demonstrating your practical expertise with a variety of workshop tools.
You will take a leading role in 8D problem-solving initiatives and comprehensive risk assessments.
Your expertise will be crucial in contributing to Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs).

Required skills
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Demonstrable, in-depth experience in Siemens NX Electrical Routing is essential. You will be expected to start creating complex 3D harness designs and 2D manufacturing drawings from day one.
A proven ability to work autonomously and hands-on experience with a variety of tools for building physical harness samples. You must have practical experience with workshop tools and be able to validate your designs through hands-on sample creation.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English, necessary for our international work environment.
A highly analytical and systematic approach to problem-solving.

Preferred skills
For an even greater impact in this role, you will ideally have:
Certification as an electrician.
A strong working knowledge of IEC 60335 standards and topics related to product certification.
Good written and verbal communication skills in Swedish.
Proficiency in SAP.

Job Description
Working as a summer worker, you will contribute to
Product development activities within mechanical engineering
Produce 3D model for assembly and 2D drawings for components
Assist with product documentation e.g. part list
Support in lab for sample etc.


Qualifications
Education:
Enrolled in a bachelor or master program in mechanical engineering or equivalent

Technical skills required:
Mechanical knowledge in materials, mechanics etc.
Experience with NX or other CAD software

Technical skills preferred:
Design knowledge in hydraulic components
Experience in Teamcenter and SAP
Practical skills such as pipe bending, brazing, sample building etc.

Personal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Able to work independently with problem solving mindset
Able to work in a team environment
