Job Description
Development of new technical concepts and solutions for heat pump refrigeration circuits.
Specification, calculation, design and testing of heat pump components and systems, including:
Create, review and understand technical specification for the components;
Analyze customer, product, and safety requirements to derive technical concepts;
Create test plans, execute and document development tests in accordance with standards and internal requirements;
Design, document and support implementation of functional test procedures for mass production;
Issue product technical documentation;
Participate in product design reviews and FMEA;
Propose and drive solutions in accordance with function, cost, quality and users’ requirements.

Further responsibilities:
Quality improvement and optimization of existing heat pump products range.
Cost reduction of existing appliance platforms.
Development of innovative functions based on heat pump components and systems.



Qualifications
Education:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (MsC preferred).
Technical skills:
Knowledge in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and refrigeration.
Knowledge in specification, calculation, design and testing of refrigeration and hydraulic components and systems.
Refrigeration application background is a benefit.
Proficiency with Microsoft office tools.
Proficiency with MATLAB is a plus.

Personal Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Able to take responsibility for own work and apply own initiative to finding solutions.
Results oriented and pro-active attitude.
Good communication skills.

Job Description
Your contribution to something big
You will analyze internal and external requirements and produce material order specifications.
You will break down and analyze electrical requirements according to safety, legal, functional, and cost.
You will produce electrical schematics and perform electrical calculations such as cable dimensioning and fuse size calculations.
You will build harness samples from the ground up and install various electrical components in heat pumps.
You will support other departments with analysis and troubleshooting of different electrical problems in the lab, production and in the field.
You will drive 8D topics and risk assessments.
You will take part in and drive FMEA’s.



Qualifications
What distinguishes you
Required skills
Experience in Siemens NX and in particular the wire routing and harness design application.
Several years of experience as a harness designer.
Experience in electrical testing according to relevant product standards and troubleshooting.
Experience using product lifecycle management (PLM) software.
Self-driven and experienced with various tools for building physical harness samples.
Problem solving mindset.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English (due to our international working environment).

Preferred skills
Certified electrician
Knowledge in IEC 60335 and product certification topics
Experience in SAP

Job Description
Develop mechanical construction concepts for heat pump components and assemblies included in the heat pumps refrigeration module:
Propose and drive mechanical solutions in accordance with function, cost, quality, lifetime and users requirements.
Produce solid models of parts (3D) and ensure product assemblies.
Generate engineering drawings (2D) for product components, create mark-ups for new revisions.
Specify materials and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing taking into account manufacturing processes.
Derive product Bill of Material (BOM), and drive introduction of components and assemblies
Coordinate development samples ordering and assembly.
Participate in product design reviews and FMEA.



Qualifications
Education:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (MsC preferred).
Technical skills:
Experience in the design of metallic parts in industrial environment, preferably using CAD 3D Unigraphics (NX).
Knowledge in the design of refrigeration and hydraulic components and systems is valued.
Proficient with Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project).
Experience with Teamcenter is a plus.

Actively running the development of system requirements and system functionality in the context of various projects
Taking the use-case descriptions from individual system stakeholders and transform them into specifications and requirements.
Aligning technical systems solutions with local product owner and with other product lines
Evaluating market needs and expectations based on facts and figures
Using system simulation tools for detailed investigations and strategic decisions
Having the full overview of system functionality of heat pump systems
Defining of success criteria for heat pump systems and coordinate their release based on simulation or laboratory results



Qualifications
What distinguishes you
Master’s degree in mechanical Engineer, Physics Engineering or similar
3-5 years’ experience in engineering, preferably in the field of heat pumps and their integration into heating systems and/or electrification (residential area).
Knowledge in thermodynamics and mechanical engineering. Able to understand complex system development with a beneficial experience in the HVAC field.
Knowledge in using simulation to support product and system development, e.g. evaluating of function descriptions or dimensioning purposes
Working style: Systematically, analytically and independently with good communication skills in an international team environment
Open minded for new ideas and solutions
Able to take responsibility for own work and apply own initiative to finding solutions
Results oriented and pro-active attitude
Good technical presentation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

As a Lead CAD engineer at Bosch Thermoteknik you will work as a lead for heat pump appliance development in a design team. You will:
Provide complete mechanical design solutions for heat pump appliance as a whole
Interface between the project and design engineers
Break down and track tasks considering requirements, timeline, and priority
Integrate mechanical designs from different modules

Propose and drive own mechanical solutions
Deliver design solutions (with focus on hydraulic system) considering function, cost, quality, and manufacturing etc.
Produce 3D model for assembly as well as 2D drawings for components
Create product Bill of Material (BOM) and drive introduction into production

Contribute to design team development
Enhance team competence in documentation and software
Strive for design improvement by collaborating with other teams, and supervising master thesis and internship



Qualifications
What distinguishes you
Education:
Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent (master’s degree preferred)

Technical skills required:
Mechanical knowledge in material, mechanics, and fluid dynamics etc.
Working experience as CAD engineer in industry
Proficiency with NX or other CAD software
