Job Description
Your contribution to something big
As a full-time intern in the Production Engineering department, you actively contribute to develop and create the conditions for a more efficient production setup to optimize manufacturing.
In this role you will be supporting the local Production Engineering department with daily project management tasks
You will have the opportunity to plan and execute your own production related projects
Evaluating data and creating statistics will allow you to follow up on KPIs of the production
Administrative tasks to support the local Production Engineering manager will also be part of your duties
You will be actively participating in the department’s improvement and development, e.g., by moderating workshops

Duration of the internship: 6 months preferably starting in September 2025
Location: on-site in our plant in Tranås, Sweden


Qualifications
What distinguishes you
Currently studying Industrial Engineering or similar (Bachelor or Master of Science)
Previous production-related experience desirable
Good analytical skills, problem-solving mindset, and technical thinking
You thrive in a dynamic work environment – identifying problems, finding solutions and executing them by actively driving your own ideas
Working knowledge in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience in other tools (CAD) is a plus
Knowledge in topics like IoT and Industry 4.0 could also be a plus
Open and communicative, ability to approach people easily and to work in a team environment
Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English, Swedish is an advantage

Job Description
As Project Manager / Production Engineer you will be part of a specialist team and support all production related topics for Bosch TT’s production entity. The work environment is very dynamic with numerous international contacts.
You will actively contribute to develop and create pre-requisites for an effective production setup with the purpose to optimize productivity while ensuring the quality of our products. The assignment will include identifying areas of improvement and running projects within the fields of continuous improvements, investments and Industry 4.0.
Hence, you will be both project manager and expert while industrializing products and leading investment projects. The work is carried out in accordance to LEAN-methods. You will report to the group manager of Production Engineering.

Ditt bidrag till något stort
Denna roll förväntas tillämpa grundläggande industritekniska koncept i hela produktionsprocessen för att uppfylla kunders krav. Regelbunden användning av tekniska metoder (t.ex. datautvinning, statistik, matematiska modeller, simulering) kommer att vara nödvändiga för att utveckla och utforma optimerade processer. Nyckeln är tillämpning av Lean-koncept för att förbättra prestation och sänka kostnader samt användning av färdigheter inom forskning, design och planering.
En del av arbetet kommer att bestå i att stödja serieproduktionen i dagliga frågor, bland annat genom att utarbeta och underhålla standardiserad processdokumentation (t.ex. arbetsinstruktioner, testinstruktioner, line-balansering etc.), utbilda användare och överlämna nya standarder till kunder. Man förväntas också delta i och stödja projekt för introduktion av nya produkter för att slutföra produktionstekniska uppgifter i tid med kvalitetsprovtillverkning och utbilda operatörer i den nya produkten och processerna. Att utföra aktiviteter som är relevanta för tidsmätningar, förbättra ergonomin på arbetsplatsen och delta i riskbedömningar för hälsa och säkerhet kommer att ingå i en regelbunden rutin.

Insamling av data för statistiska beräkning och simulering i avsikt att kvalitetssäkra och optimera våra processer

Your contribution to something big
Applies basic industrial engineering concepts throughout production processes to meet customer requirements
Regularly uses engineering methods (e.g. data mining, statistics, mathematical models, simulation) to develop optimized process designs and efficient utilization of resources.
Researches, designs, develops, improves, and implements processes as to enhance performance, and lower cost, through the application of Lean and other concepts.
Supports serial production on day to day issues.
Prepares and maintains standardized process documentation (e.g. Work Instructions, test instructions, line balancing etc.), trains users and handovers new standard to customers
Participates to new product introduction projects to complete production engineering tasks timely with quality. Supports sample builds and train operators of the new product and processes.
Performs time measurements, analyses (e.g. MTM) and improve workplace ergonomics.
Cooperates with cross functional teams, local and international.
Organizes Health and Safety Risk Assessments, and derived measures
Supports internal and external audits



Qualifications
What distinguishes you
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or another relevant field
Minimum four years of experience (Assembly Technologies and Industrial Engineering)
Knowledge of lean and quality tools such as Process Mapping, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action, and various problem-solving approaches.
Analytical thinking: Data mining, data collection, organization, statistical design.
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, as well as, facilitate cross-functional teams
Good communication skills and interact with employees to gather inputs for process improvements and analysis in different levels of production process.
Willing to travel occasionally national or internationally
Strong verbal and written communication skills both in English and Swedish
