Job Description


Join the Appliance – Testing & Development Team and play a vital role in bringing cutting-edge heat pump technology to market! We are a dynamic group responsible for the full development cycle, from concept development to final release. We employ a blended approach of virtual simulation, rigorous lab testing and customer site field tests. As a Testing and Development Engineer, you will be at the heart of this process, contributing to the development and validation of our newest developments. Your key responsibilities will include:
Executing and documenting lab-based hardware and functional testing of heat pumps at appliance and system level to validate the functionality and identify areas for improvement
Designing and creating test plans that align with industry standards and internal requirements
Bridging hardware and software development by collaborating closely with our software development colleagues by creating, reviewing and interpreting technical specifications particularly focusing on function descriptions
Hands-on commissioning and troubleshooting to prepare heat pump systems for testing, including software flashing, wet rig installation, and proactive fault finding and resolution to ensure smooth and efficient testing processes





Qualifications


Education:
Industry experience or degree in engineering

Technical skills required:
Experience in hardware / function testing in the lab at system or appliance level

Technical skills preferred:
Refrigeration application or HVAC background
Knowledge in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
Experience in writing specifications for hardware / software and test descriptions
Experience with Matlab Simulink & JIRA

Personal skills
Eager to grow in the technical field and hands-on work in the lab
Good communication skills, working language is English
Able to take responsibility for own work and apply own initiative to find solutions

Job Description
Join the Appliance – Testing & Development Team and be at the forefront of bringing cutting-edge heat pump technology to market! As the appliance team, we are positioned where the work of different teams comes together (e.g. software, hydraulic & refrigerant technology). We maintain the overview of project requirements and ensure their fulfillment.
Your key responsibilities include:
Serve as the interface between the project stakeholders and the development engineers in the team, ensuring smooth execution of project tasks in the team. You will create and maintain the project time plan for the team & communicate project expectations and deviations from the plan transparently with the team
Support the team in the task breakdown considering requirements, timeline and priority
Manage the requirement engineering, plan the verification by creating and maintaining test plans and document the status of fulfillment
Take the lead on technical topics to shape the development of HP system solutions for various accessories. This includes the preparation of detailed function descriptions and collaborating closely with our software development team
Support the team in improving their technical competence & documentation skills



Qualifications
Education:
Degree in engineering or a related field

Technical skills required:
Minimum of 3 years of engineer experience in R&D
Strong foundational knowledge in mechanics, hydraulics, and thermodynamics
Proven experience in managing engineering requirement and verification processes

Technical skills preferred:
Prior experience in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) industry
Proficiency with Jira and experience working in an Agile development environment

Personal skills
Highly structured and organized, with good coordination skills
Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively and independently
A strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Be the appliance development lead engineer in the project, meaning - Be the Interface between the project and development engineers with overview. Break down and track tasks considering requirements, timeline, and priority.
Manage requirement engineering (RE) and link RE to fulfillment and verification.
Create timeline planning and testing planning.
Prepare function descriptions and collaborate with software development.
Perform function testing of heat pumps at appliance and system level.
Contribute to testing and development team development ,
Enhance team competence in tools & methods and documentation.
Strive for development improvement by collaborating with other teams, and supervising master thesis and internship students.



Qualifications

Education:
Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent (master’s degree or above preferred)
