Job Description
Your contribution to something big
Our department (Engineering Product Quality, Processes and Methods - EPM) is part of the Electric Solutions (ES) development division of Bosch Home Comfort (HC). Our focus is on the safe and reliable operation of the products throughout their entire service life. In new product development, we actively help to shape this, e. g. through technical risk management and validation.
As part of our team, you will work in the process of designing reliability for specific components in the refrigerant circuit of heat pumps and perform the following tasks:
You will conduct lifetime assessments for new components
Performing reliability tests will also be a part of your duties
You will be doing systematic load determination based on field data
You will also have the opportunity to participate in the development activities for our Engineering team

Duration of the internship: 6 months, preferably starting in March 2025
Location: on-site in our plant in Tranås, Sweden
Qualifications
What distinguishes you
Currently studying Mechanical Engineering or similar
Ability to work independently and approach people easily
Motivated and with a problem-solving mindset
Knowledge in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Good verbal and written communication skills in English

Job Description
Create testing plan according to engineering requirements and testing descriptions
Prepare function descriptions and collaborate with software development
Perform function testing of heat pumps at appliance and system level, incl. domestic hot water and central heating etc.
Development of modeling and simulation in heat pump system



Qualifications
Education:
Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent (master’s degree or above preferred)

Technical skills required:
Knowledge in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
Working experience in function testing at system or appliance level
Experience in modeling and simulation

Technical skills preferred:
Proficiency with Matlab Simulink
Experience in writing function description and testing description
Refrigeration application or residential heating background

Personal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Able to work independently with problem solving mindset
Able to work in a team environment
Good coordination skills

Your contribution to something big
This role focuses on TDE- Technical Data expert & DFE- Design for Environment
As a DEF Engineer Sustainability will be one of your core values and the role focuses on interpreting and fulfilling the legal standards to produce sustainable products.
Works with mandatory EU and Country specified Certifications and Regulation.
Implementing and ensuring that the products have the right certifications, meet current standards and legal requirements. in Development and Life cycle Management Phase.
Also be a part of sub projects e.g. RoHS regulations.
Responsible for implementing, maintaining, and proactively updating the standards for every component to the whole product that satisfies future standards.
Responsible to documenting the information for CE Declaration.
Responsible to communicate and coordinate with Purchasing and Engineering division to purchase and use of right materials that satisfies the current and future standards.
As a Technical data expert, you will be responsible for handling technical data and supports in Certification i.e., Mandatory EU and country specific certification in Heat Pump Production.
Responsible for collecting, maintaining and updating the data.



Qualifications

Required skills and qualifications
Degree in Engineering or equivalent (Msc preferred).
Understand and interpret the regulations and standards.
Good at technical documentation.
Coordination or project leading skills.
Knowledge about European standards/Directives applicable to heat pumps and residential heating systems is a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project).
